Breastfeeding Support

Breastfeeding offers superior infant nutrition, bonding, and numerous benefits for mom and baby, but it can feel anything but natural for some families.  That's why I am so excited to offer various options for breastfeeding support and assessment.  Village Birth is set up to accept HSA payments if families wish to do so.  I do not file insurance directly, but can provide a Super Bill that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.  I cannot guarantee reimbursement rates for my services.  Please call your insurance company if you have questions about out-of-network lactation care coverage. 

Initial Consultation 

In Home - $175

In Office - $125

A first time visit to establish how mother and baby are doing and troubleshoot breastfeeding issues or concerns.  Most visits take between 1 to 2 hours and will include a detailed health history, observation and assessment of a feeding, a weight check, a customized care plan, a detailed summary of your visit to your healthcare provider, and unlimited phone/text support.   Consultations are by appointment only.

Follow up consultation

In Home $125

In Office $75

A 45 - 60 minute follow up for reassessment of feedings and any necessary adjustments to your care plan. Can include a weight check if desired

Not sure how to navigate the working world and keep your breastfeeding relationship in tact?  I will sit down with you and help you come up with a plan to build a stash of breastmilk, discuss feeding with your care provider, and keep up with your growing baby's demand.
